About the event
In this session, participants will learn about metacognition and its uses across the curriculum. Metacognition is a way to individuate student instruction and motivation as they set their own goals, formulate their own strategies for success, and collaborate with peers for additional strategies. Participants will learn about what metacognition is, how it can build students' executive functioning and self-efficacy, what the steps are, and how to make it a rich and versatile tool to enhance learning. Participants will also engage in goal-setting and exploration of strategies for time and task-management to practice metacognition.
