Volunteer With Us: Elevate Delaware’s Future Educators
February 10–11, 2026 • University of Delaware, Newark, DE
Hosted by the Delaware Department of Education, the Delaware Teacher Academy Foundation, and the University of Delaware
The 2026 Delaware Educators Rising State Conference invites professionals, educators, college faculty, and community leaders to play a pivotal role in advancing the next generation of culturally competent, equity-driven educators. This year’s theme, From Access to Action, centers on elevating student voice, deepening skill attainment, and creating transformational learning experiences for middle and high school students committed to careers in education.
We are seeking passionate volunteers to join us in the following roles:
Mentors — February 10
Provide coaching, confidence-building, and real-time support as students prepare for their skill attainment events. Mentors offer insights into career & college readiness, wellness and SEL strategies, and the habits of successful future education professionals. Mentors may volunteer for flexible time blocks with no full-day commitment required.
Judges — February 10
Evaluate student performance in our rigorous Education & Leadership Skill Attainment Events, grounded in professional expectations for aspiring educators. Judges bring expertise, fairness, and a commitment to developing high-quality feedback that strengthens student growth.
Panelists — February 10
Serve on dynamic panels that expose students to diverse pathways in education, leadership, instructional practice, school culture, community partnership, wellness, and advocacy. Panelists help students connect “access” to meaningful “action” in their emerging careers.
Workshop Presenters — February 11 (50-Minute Sessions)
Lead high-impact workshops focused on culturally responsive teaching, instructional strategies, school and classroom culture, family engagement, entrepreneurship in education, community relations, wellness, or leadership. Presenters engage students in hands-on, relevant, future-focused professional learning aligned to today’s evolving education landscape.
Why Volunteer?
Your expertise directly shapes Delaware’s future educator pipeline. Volunteers support rigorous learning, foster belonging, and help students transform their aspirations into real pathways toward college, careers, and leadership.
