About the event

This engaging workshop introduces educators to the foundations of equitable education while exploring the principles of culturally responsive teaching (CRT) and its transformative impact on student learning. Through real-world scenarios, interactive activities, and collaborative discussions, participants will identify barriers to equity in classrooms and develop actionable strategies to create inclusive learning environments, and will uncover ways to connect curriculum and instruction to students’ diverse cultural backgrounds, recognize and address barriers to inclusion, and build relationships that celebrate cultural strengths. The connection with SEL will also be highlighted, as it plays a key role in ensuring student success and cannot be overlooked.
