2026 Delaware Educators Rising State Leadership Conference
Work-Based Learning Experience

Each program will receive the following:

  • A stipend as mutually agreed upon

  • Mentoring to enhance your technical and leadership skills

  • Lerner College Experience

  • A work-based learning credit

The program will potentially host up to four (4) schools per competition.

Proposal

When creating your proposal, you should not exceed $8 per person for breakfast and $16 per person for lunch. You will base your proposal on 100 attendees.

Select the challenge(s) you wish to participate in for February 11th.

Acknowledgement

By registering for the Lerner College Early Career Experience, I acknowledge and agree to the following expectations and responsibilities for myself and my students:

  1. District Approval: I will submit a Work-Based Learning field trip request to my district and ensure all required approvals are obtained prior to attending the event.

  2. Student Transportation: I am responsible for arranging and providing safe and timely transportation for all participating students to and from the University of Delaware (Lerner College).

  3. Event Schedule: I understand that:• Breakfast Challenge begins promptly at 9:00 AM• Lunch Challenge begins at 12:00 PM. I agree to ensure my students arrive on time and are prepared for each challenge.

  4. Student Engagement: My students are expected to fully engage in the Lerner College tours and informational sessions scheduled between challenge events. I will support and reinforce professional participation throughout the day.

  5. Costing Menu Submission: We will submit a costing menu for my team in advance by the deadline provided. This must be completed by the students.

  6. Supplies & Ingredients: I understand that all teams are required to supply their own items, ingredients, equipment, or materials needed for participation in the challenges.

By confirming my participation, I agree to uphold these expectations and support a positive, safe, and educational experience for all students involved.
