The Early Childhood Innovation Center is a scholarship program for the early care and education workforce. We provide scholarships for the Childhood Develoment Associate credential and associate and bachelor degree scholarships.
We provide extensive support from application help to professional development opportunities.
This interactive workshop introduces students to the Montessori method — an educational approach that looks very different from the traditional classroom model many students experienced growing up.
Participants will explore the philosophy behind Montessori education, including how children learn through independence, movement, choice, and meaningful work. The session will highlight key differences between Montessori and conventional schooling, such as multi-age classrooms, hands-on materials, student agency, and the teacher’s role as a guide rather than a lecturer.
